In a special board meeting of the LCSD No. 2 trustees revolving around personnel decisions, David Saltzman was confirmed as the new Principal of Etna Elementary starting in the 2023-24 school year.

Saltzman replaces Keith Klein who is leaving the district for a new position in Utah. Klein has been principal of Etna Elementary since 2014. Saltzman is currently a teacher at Star Valley High School.

Etna Elementary educates Star Valley students in fourth through sixth grade and currently has an enrollment of approximately 259 students.
