The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is searching for four suspects involved in a stabbing in Alpine. Lincoln County Sheriff Shane Johnson said the suspects have left the area and there is no threat to public safety.
The incident occurred in the early morning hours on Sunday, August 6. Sheriff Johnson told SVI News that an “alcohol fueled argument” led to the stabbings in an apartment complex in Alpine. Two victims were transported to Star Valley Health where they were treated for their injuries and later released.
The four suspects who were involved in the alleged assault attempted to flee the area in a passenger car. According to Sheriff Johnson, a witness attempted to prevent the suspects from leaving prior to law enforcement’s arrival by blocking them with a pick-up truck, resulting in a traffic collision. The suspects were able to escape prior to the arrival of emergency responders.
Sheriff Johnson stated that the suspects are undocumented so they are working on the correct info for them. However they have been identified. Arrest warrants were pending as of Tuesday morning. The investigation remains ongoing.
Sheriff Johnson reiterated that the suspects have fled the area and there is no concern for public safety at this time. Updated details and information will be posted to SVInews.com as they become available.
