Star Valley Chamber of Commerce plans 2019 membership banquet

Star Valley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to invite all businesses and organizations to its annual membership report and dinner on Saturday, February 23, at 6 p.m. at Flying Saddle Restaurant in Alpine.

“This banquet gives us a chance to celebrate our successes and discuss how we are going to push ourselves in the coming year,” Sarah Hale, SV Chamber Executive Director, said.

Rod Jensen, president of Bank of Star Valley, will be presenting the bank’s 2018 Economic and Demographic Review at the banquet.

“This is the most comprehensive study of Star Valley and its people that’s in existence,” Jensen said. “We’re proud the chamber board allows us to share this because we spend a lot of time creating it.”

Jensen said some of the main points he will cover are the demographic and economic trends of Star Valley, the capita income on average, new employment opportunities, and real estate trends.

“The information [Rod Jensen] provides in his annual report is not only interesting…it is extremely beneficial to area businesses and families,” Hale said. “We want to provide our membership with the kinds of information that will help them be more successful in the coming year.”

Hale said this banquet will also provide a good networking opportunity for those who attend.

“It is always a good idea to come together and review what has happened over the last year and see what has been accomplished and where you would like to be headed in the future,” Hale said.

All chamber members and their guests are invited to attend free of charge.

Anyone who would like to attend and is not a chamber member is more than welcome to do so. There will be a charge of $20 per plate for non-chamber members.

The deadline to RSVP for this event is Monday, February 11. RSVP by emailing or by calling (307) 885-2759. Please, include your choice of boneless pork chop or baked pacific cod in your reservation.
