Thursday’s activities include the Homecoming Assembly at 1:45 p.m. that features a Beefcake Volleyball contest, and the Homecoming Parade down main street beginning at 6:15 p.m.  Local businesses and organizations are invited to participate in the parade.  All participants need to line up at the fairgrounds by 5:45 p.m.

Following the parade, select SVHS female athletes are scheduled for the Powder Puff contests on Braves Field.  The SVHS Marching Braves will present the halftime entertainment with a preview of their Wyoming State Marching Band Festival show, “Decomposers: Bach from the Grave.” After the Powder Puff games, students and the community are invited to the Light the Night – Burning of the SV and Stomp that will take place west of the high school.  On Friday, students and staff are invited to show their Braves Spirit by dressing in Braves Red and Gold.

The 2023 Homecoming Royalty Court will be presented Friday at approximately 6:30 p.m. just prior to the football game, followed by the SVHS Varsity Football Squad hosting the Evanston Red Devils in the Homecoming match of 2023, with kickoff at 7 p.m. all at Braves Field.

According to the Star Valley Football Facebook Page, “This year, for our Homecoming [celebration] against Evanston…we hope to honor and celebrate the state championship team from 1972! We would like to invite the players and coaches from the 1972 team to join us in the team room during our pregame [activities] at 5:45 p.m. We will honor the team on the field prior to the game during the coin toss.”

Saturday evening, all students are invited to attend the Homecoming 2023 Dance, hosted by the Brave Cadettes.  With the theme of “Old Hollywood,” the dance floor, housed in the 4-H building at the LC Fairgrounds, is open from 8:30 to 11 p.m. Attire is formal or semi-formal.  For tickets, see any member of the Brave Cadettes squad.
