The 2023 Teen Vocalist competition, hosted by SVI Media, features nine teenage singers from Star Valley, Wyoming. Each one will sing on stage, hoping to earn the vote of both the judges and the audience, with the winner receiving a $1,000 grand prize provided by Skyview Lanes & Cineplex.
While the entire competition will be broadcast live on SVI Media, only audience members who are physically in attendance will be able to vote for their favorite performer. The broadcast audience will not be able to vote.
This year’s competition features celebrity judge Tim Hodgson, fiddler player for the Bar J. Wranglers. Hodgson and his current bluegrass band will perform a mini concert as part of the show.
Also judging the competition is Daniel Lechner, the 2022 Vocalist winner, and Kayleen Anderson, a local vocal coach.
Teen Vocalist is free to attend for anyone age 18 and younger. There is a $5 fee for all those age 18 and older.
A link to the live video broadcast on SVI Media will be published to the homepage of SVInews.com on the day of the competition, which is Friday, April 21.
