Hageman has been a vocal opponent of the Rock Springs Resource Management Plan (RMP), stating, “I’ve been pushing back and fighting against the Rock Springs RMP since 2020.” Despite minor adjustments made for 2024, she emphasized that the plan still restricts Wyoming’s ability to effectively manage its natural resources. To combat this, Hageman is actively working with the administration and the Department of the Interior to introduce legislation aimed at blocking the RMP.
Highlighting the importance of energy production, she remarked, “A strong America makes for a safe world,” criticizing current policies that she believes undermine domestic energy efforts. Hageman pointed out that the U.S. is inadvertently funding adversarial nations, such as Russia, through its energy policies. “We are funding Ukraine but also funding Russia,” she stated, referring to the nearly $200 billion allocated to Ukraine since the onset of conflict.
In addition to energy concerns, Hageman addressed the contentious issue of immigration, declaring, “We’ve got to close our border. If we do not close our border, we will not have a country.” She characterized the current immigration situation as a disaster and emphasized the need for strict enforcement of existing laws.
Hageman also shared her views on recent pardons, contrasting the actions of former President Trump with those of President Biden. She noted, “Donald Trump is writing a wrong,” while accusing Biden of perpetuating corruption through his family’s pardons.
As the 169th Congress continues, Hageman’s commitment to advocating for Wyoming’s interests remains steadfast, positioning her as a significant voice in the Republican Party.
