Utah Jazz’s Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell make NBA All-Star team

The NBA announced its All-Star reserves for the Eastern and Western Conferences Thursday evening and both Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell will represent the Utah Jazz in the game on February 16.

It will be the first time the organization has had two All-Stars since the 2006-2007 season when Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur made it. Many national pundits said Gobert was an All-Star snub last season, but will make his first appearance. He has won Defensive Player of the Year in back-to-back years and had made All-NBA two times as well.

On the season the Jazz center has averaged 15.7 points per game, 14.6 rebounds per game, and two blocks per game. He has been in the discussion for another DPOY this season so far.

Donovan Mitchell averages 25 points per game, 4.2 rebounds per game, and 4.2 assists per game. Both have led the Jazz to a 32-15 record tied for third in the west.
