The Lady Braves Volleyball team broke into the top-five of the latest wyopreps.com Coaches and Media Poll after a strong start to the season which saw them win the Cokeville Invite and then most recently advance to the championship in their home invite. Although the team came up short against Thunder Basin in that final, they went 5-1 against tough competition and earned the votes to get into the top-five. 

This new ranking was immediately tested on Friday night as the undefeated Cody Fillies came to town ranked #2 in the same poll. It was a fantastic match in which the Lady Braves came out on top in four sets, 25-23, 27-29, 25-21, 25-22.

It improved Star Valley’s record to (16-5) overall on the season and handed the Fillies their first loss and dropped them to (10-1) on the season. 

The Lady Braves will look to keep the momentum rolling on Saturday as they host the Riverton Wolverines. The varsity match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
