Wyoming tops 500 COVID-19 cases; Fremont County adds eight more

The Wyoming Department of Health updated the total of of COVID-19 cases in Wyoming as of 3 p.m. on Sunday May 10.

The state saw an increase of eight cases since Saturday May 9, all of which occurred in Fremont County. This brings the statewide total to 503 confirmed cases.

The WDH reports a number of 158 total probable cases and 443 total recoveries.

Lincoln County currently sits at eight confirmed cases, three probable cases and nine reported recoveries.

Teton County has reported 67 confirmed cases with an addition 31 probably cases. Teton officials report 90 recoveries.

Fremont County leads the state in confirmed cases with 175, one of just two counties to report more than 100 with the other being Laramie County (110). In addition, Fremont County officials report 11 probable cases with 49 reported recoveries.

A total of seven deaths have been attributed to the virus at this point in Wyoming.
In Idaho and Utah the number is 67, Montana has 16, Nebraska reports 90 and South and North Dakota report 35 and 34 respectively.

The hardest hit neighboring state by far is Colorado with over 19,000 confirmed cases and 967 deaths.

 

Probable cases identified as people who had direct contact with a person with a confirmed case of coronavirus and who is showing symptoms of the disease but has not been tested.
