According to U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), an earthquake measured at a 3.8 magnitude took place approximately 18 kilometers (11.2 miles) west by southwest of Fairview on Friday morning in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest.
The quake occurred at 7:08 a.m. on Friday morning and was reported by multiple people in the area. The USGS stated that the quake was recorded at a depth of 11.8 kilometers.
