The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT), in partnership with Reiman Corporation, has launched a district-wide bridge rehabilitation project. Crews are focused on the Narrows Bridge at mile marker 95.15 along US 89. Next week, work will transition to the bridge at the bottom of Salt Pass, located at mile marker 72.1.
During this time, both bridges will have a width restriction of 13 feet. Traffic is limited to one alternating lane on the bridges, managed by a temporary signal. Drivers should anticipate delays ranging from 10 minutes to over an hour, depending on the time of day. While the overall project is expected to conclude by June 30, 2026, crews aim to complete work on these two bridges by late August of this year. The project will include structural rehabilitation, asphalt paving, guardrail installation, and various concrete work throughout western Wyoming.
WYDOT advises drivers to reduce speed in work zones, stay alert for roadside workers, and adhere to all traffic control measures. Due to unpredictable weather and other variables, schedule changes may occur, and work hours may vary. WYDOT is dedicated to keeping the public informed.
