Las Vegas man sentenced for stealing gold and silver from Lincoln County home

Michael Reps was sentenced to between four and four-and-a-half years in prison for his part in stealing both gold and silver items from his father’s home valued in the millions of dollars.
As part of the sentencing, Reps was also ordered to pay $2 million in restitution as well. Initial reports of the items in the home were valued at $14 million.
The sentencing stems from incidents that took place during 2023 and 2024 where Reps had removed the gold and silver from the home. Reps had been charged with two felony counts. Reps took a plea bargain which eliminated one of those charges.
