A Summer Night at the Wild 3 Ranch is scheduled for Friday, July 18 in Grover. Proceeds from the evening go toward supplying protein options for the Afton and Thayne Food Pantries and support of the Star Valley Soccer Club with improvements to the fields used by soccer teams from throughout the valley.

Hosted by the Wild 3 Ranch, the evening offers Wyoming Wagyu and 22Wagyu beef or The Block Chicken Birria Tacos, Bacon Jalapeno Poppers, pork sausage dip with chips, chemical-free garden greens supplied by Haderlie Farms, and dairy desserts from Shumway Farms. All food preparation and service will be provided by The Block employees and the Wild 3 Ranch. Folks can expect fresh, locally produced foods that are sure to please.

“We work closely with the food pantries throughout the year at The Block and just love the volunteers that make these organizations run,” said Tylee Williams, who owns The Block in Thayne and runs the Wild 3 Ranch with her family. “They get great community support during the fair and hunting season, but our hope is to raise some money for them to have more quality meat during the spring and early summer months for their patrons.”

This fundraiser also offers support to the “Star Valley Soccer Club, because they provide great opportunities for the kids of Star Valley,” Williams added. “Our hope is that the money we raise will go towards improvements and upkeep of the ball field in Grover where several soccer teams practice and soccer academies are being held all summer.  The field could really use some TLC! It is cared for by volunteers from Grover and is getting more use now.  It’s a great location and field that is easy to get to for both upper and lower valley” participants.

Silent auction items for the event include two separate quarters of beef. This will be “locally raised and grain finished beef that will be processed and packaged at The Block in Thayne,” said Williams  “A processed quarter of beef is going for about $1,000 right now.  We will work with the winner on when they would like to receive the meat.”

An additional silent auction item offers a float trip on the Salt River “to support the local Trout Unlimited group that is working to improve fishing access points along the Salt.  The goal is to put any money raised here toward help with a little dirt work at the Grover bridge to make access easier” for boats and people.

Entertainment is provided by The Linfords. “We are so lucky to have such a talented duo in the valley,” Williams exclaimed. “Nashville has absolutely nothing on them!  It will be a fun summer evening event for couples or friends to enjoy in Star Valley.  It should be quite the sight and experience with the beautiful mountains and river valley as the backdrop!”

Tickets are available at the QR Code included here. The address to the venue will be provided upon purchase of your tickets.  Revenue from ticket sales will purchase the beef used for the auction. The Block is donating the processing.  Donations toward purchase of the beef will be gratefully accepted.

“Come out and enjoy a beautiful evening overlooking the idyllic Salt River valley and enjoy some locally grown beef!  The setting will be intimate with a tent covering tables in case we have evening showers,” said Williams “The Linfords always put on a good show and the auction will be a great way to donate to local groups and projects that will benefit our valley.”
