The following is a release from Rocky Mountain Yeti –

Afton, Wyoming — After years of proudly serving Star Valley and the surrounding communities, Rocky Mountain Yeti Afton will be closing its Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram dealership and service department effective November 7, 2025.

This decision comes as part of a broader market realignment initiative with Stellantis, the parent company of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, and is designed to strengthen dealer coverage and improve customer support throughout western Wyoming and eastern Idaho. The realignment consolidates operations toward Rocky Mountain Yeti Jackson Hole, which has grown into a regional hub for the CDJR brand—selling as many vehicles into the Utah region as well as all across Wyoming.

Over the past decade, Afton has seen significant changes in the local automotive landscape. A General Motors dealership closed its doors nearly ten years ago, followed by Ford’s mandatory move from Star Valley to Jackson eight years ago. Through it all, Rocky Mountain Yeti Afton proudly stood as the valley’s final new-vehicle dealership—continuing to serve local drivers longer than any other major brand presence. This longevity reflects the strength, loyalty, and adventurous spirit of both our customers and our team.

“We’re incredibly grateful to our Afton customers, employees, and community for their years of support,” said a spokesperson for Rocky Mountain Yeti. “As the automotive landscape evolves, this transition allows us to expand technician support, increase service capacity, and boost vehicle allocation—particularly for Jeep and Ram—at our Jackson Hole location.”

The move ensures that customers will continue to receive the same high level of care and adventure-driven service that have long defined the Yeti name. Those seeking warranty service, parts, or new CDJR vehicles will now be welcomed at Rocky Mountain Yeti Jackson Hole, which offers expanded facilities, a growing service team, and improved access to inventory.

“Our mission has always been to help our customers stay legendary—on the road, in the mountains, and everywhere in between,” the statement continued. “While it’s bittersweet to close Afton, this shift positions our team to serve the region even better for years to come.”

Rocky Mountain Yeti extends heartfelt thanks to all who have supported the Afton dealership over the years. Customers with ongoing service needs or upcoming appointments will be contacted directly to coordinate a smooth transition.

This transition does not affect Rocky Mountain Yeti Autobody. Jared and Jamie with Rocky Mountain Yeti Autobody remain firmly planted in Afton at their present location as the preferred regional choice for quality collision repair—featuring Star Valley’s certified welders, unibody measuring system, aluminum repairs with certified equipment and on-site rental car service. Customers are encouraged to continue scheduling all autobody and collision needs by calling (307) 885-2639 or visit them at: rockymountainyetiafton.com/autobody.
