Star Valley’s annual Holiday Craft Bazaar is open for shoppers Saturday, November 22 at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds in Afton from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds will benefit local folks in need of support throughout the coming year.

Organizer Tanya DeJournett is pleased to welcome everyone for the event that features nearly 45 vendors offering holiday craft and product favorites as well as a few new items that the bazaar has never offered before, including new baked goods and lariat wreathes.

DeJournett believes in this cause. Guests “can use this to help people in the community. Last year, we helped a single mom with four kids that didn’t get her stuff in time to the Angel tree, so we provided Christmas for her and her kids last year. The money just goes back out to the community to whoever needs the help and we do whatever we can to help people out.”

Upstream Entertainment with Rich and Joanie is scheduled to provide shopping music, and the 4-H club, Muckin’ Mavericks will offer the lunch menu again this year as a fundraiser for their club. Community youth soccer clubs will greet guests at the door to take a $1 admission fee.

“This is a great way to help support all these vendors and the dollar donation helps people out in the community,” said DeJournett. “It’s a great event that has been going on for decades. My sister, Nicole, and I took it over and we have just enjoyed doing it. It’s a great way and a great day to come out and spend some time with your friends and get some early Christmas shopping done. It’s just a great community event.”
