
The local Star Gymnastics Girls Team competed at the 2026 Utah/Wyoming State Gymnastics Championships on April 9-11 in Farmington, Utah. The athletes, ranging in age from 9 to 18, brought home a total of 12 individual event titles and 19 runner-up finishes. 15 competitors finished in the top three of the All-Around (AA), including three AA winners.
Lucy Hirschi took first place in her division in the Gold Level with an All-Around score of 37.850, including event titles on Vault (9.375), Beam (9.400) and Floor (9.475). Breeslyn Dyches won the AA in the Silver Level with a 37.300, sweeping multiple events highlighted by a 9.600 on Beam. Kambri Trauntvein was also an AA winner in Level 3 with a total score of 36.575, including first place on Vault (9.125).

Katelynn Gaughan – 2nd in Diamond (35.625)
Harbor Winder – 3rd in Diamond (35.075)
Ady Christiansen – 2nd in Diamond (34.05)
Saylor Herd – 3rd in Diamond (33.925)

Additional highlights include Katelynn Gaughan, a Diamond, winning a state title on Bars with a 9.300 and Claira Roesler, a Platinum, winning a state title on Beam with a 9.675.
This year’s team included two Seniors who both competed at the Diamond level. Saylor Herd won a state title on Beam with an 8.875 while Ady Christiansen finished 2nd in the All Around with a 34.05.
As a team, Star Gymnastics’ Bronze, Level 3 and Gold teams all placed 4th.

“To come away with 12 event titles and 15 athletes finishing in the Top 3 in the All-Around shows the hard work these athletes put in every day in the gym,” stated Head Coach Maurie Erickson.
The event was the first time Star Gymnastics competed against Utah teams in the championships. The gymnasts now turn their attention toward regional and national qualifiers. 12 athletes qualified for the Regional Championships in California with the hopes of qualifying for the National Championships in Florida this June.
