Five enthusiastic 4‑H members from Lincoln County recently traveled to Rock Springs, to take part in a hands‑on Lego Robotics clinic designed to spark creativity, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills. The two days workshop introduced participants to the fundamentals of robotics, coding, engineering through the popular Lego Robotics platform and about the State competition challenges.

The youth spent the day building and programming robots, experimenting with sensors, and learning how robotics can be used in real‑world applications. Leaders at the clinic noted how quickly the Lincoln County  participants picked up new skills and how eager they were to take their knowledge back to their local club.

With interest in robotics growing, the Star Valley 4‑H Program is inviting the public to learn more at an upcoming 4‑H Lego Robotics Open House on April 28 at 4:00 p.m. at the Afton Civic Center. Families, youth, and community members are welcome to stop by, meet current participants, see demonstrations, and explore what the program offers.

The 4‑H Lego Robotics Program is also seeking volunteer leaders who enjoy working with youth and have an interest in STEM education. No prior robotics experience is required—just a willingness to learn alongside the kids.

Organizers hope the Open House will inspire more young people to get involved and help build a strong foundation for future robotics opportunities in the community.
