The Town of Alpine produced a boil water advisory on Thursday evening which is now in effect for certain residents due to a water main break. The statement noted that the break is affecting a limited portion of the town water system near Trail Drive and Stoor Drive.
Town officials stated that the boil order only applies to those who received a door notice. The boil order does not apply to other properties. However, due to the Memorial Day weekend, the required bacteriological testing and confirmation sampling needed to lift the boil water advisory cannot be completed within the normal timeframe. The town anticipates the boil water advisory will remain in effect until approximate Thursday, May 28, pending safe water quality test results and authorization from regulatory agencies. Bottled water is available at the town shop located at 289 Buffalo Drive. Those with more questions can call 307-654-7757 (Ext. 3) or 307-880-2869.
