A fire is burning in the Big Piney Ranger District of the Bridger-Teton National Forest after igniting on Tuesday afternoon. The fire is located north of Bare Pass and east of Bare Creek and is activity burning in timber according to early reports. It is located on the Sublette side of the Bridger-Teton east of Afton and is estimated at 250 acres in size.

Teton Interagency Fire engines and firefighting staff as well as Sublette County resources are on scene with an air attack including two Type-3 helicopters, smokejumpers and a 10-person fire module and a fire engine.
