Doing a broadcast from Alaska was new territory and our SVI  crew rose to the occasion using  our successful and proven Wyoming plan, only adjusted to Alaska.

The Star Valley and Soldotna event drew record numbers for SVI, surpassing a 110,000 count.

Everyone with SVI took their responsibilities seriously and made it  work.

Perhaps no one took those responsibilities more seriously  than Bart and Cindy Dance.

They took a motor home, packed with SVI equipment, and drove it the estimated 2,984 miles to Soldotna.

The 50-hour road trip (and back) was challenged by poor road conditions en route. Bart and Cindy rose to the occasion and pulled in to Soldotna at 4:30 a.m. on the day of the game.

Bart and Cindy Dance are the true,  quiet, unsung heroes of this record breaking Soldotna broadcast.
