I often encourage those involved with public service to maintain good working relationships along the way. That could become invaluable at a later date.

I have taken the Town of Afton for a visit with the Bridger-Teton National Forest. They may need a working relationship with the largest national forest in the lower 48 states at some time.

Countless times, I’ve hauled county commissioners over to meet with a governor or state agency over the years. They might need a working relationship with that office or agency at some point in time.

For myself, those in-person meetings never end, at the state level, national level and this week, perhaps at the international level.  This week I made a quick trip up to Edmonton to talk energy. I see countless opportunities as Wyoming and Alberta share common interests with energy.
