The SVHS track and field teams competed at the Malad Invitational on Thursday prior to the school shutting down for Spring Break. Both the girls and boys squads came away with first place finishes and scored over 150 points each.

For the girls, the top finishes came from Emry Kennington who swept the Shot Put and the Discus. Kelsie Dunne who won the 3200 meter event and Adi Christiansen took the triple jump. Dunne also placed third in the 1600 meter and Christiansen was second in the high jump.

For the boys, Colton Cranney won the 3200 meter event and Sam Gaskell took the high jump. Elia Matautia won the shot put and the Jonah Manu was first in the discus.

The teams are off this week before returning to action on April 10, at Sugar-Salem. The next home event will be April 23 for the Dave Draney Invite.
