The Star Valley golfers were at White Mountain Golf Course in Rock Springs for a two-day tournament on Thursday and Friday. The SVHS boys placed third. with a team score of 660 in a very competitive pack of schools. Evanston continues to be the early-season favorites out of the 4A West as they took the event with a score of 639. The Tigers shot a 652 on their home course to finish in front of the Braves.
Daltyn DeCora and Deegan Hill shot identical scores of 76 and 81 on the two day to both finish with a 157 which was good for fifth overall. Green River’s Adam Robertson on the individual boys effort with a 149 which was one stroke ahead of Rock Springs TJ Atkinson.
The Lady Braves were led by a second-place finish from Kate Ricks who carded a 181 for the weekend. Evanston’s Madison Brown had the top score with a 170. The Devils ad all five of their players place in the top team as they won the event with a 550. Star Valley shot a 580. Paylan Merritt and Amelia Green also had top-ten finishes.
