Chloe Valentine, the newly appointed Regional Director for Southwest Wyoming with the Wyoming Business Council, joined the Weekday Wake-Up program on Wednesday, November 26, to discuss her role and the resources available for local businesses.
During the live interview, Valentine shared her background, stating, “I’m actually from Greybull, Wyoming, and then I went to the University of Wyoming for school. I ended up getting a bachelor’s in public relations and then my master’s in business administration.” Initially aiming for a career in sales, she pivoted to education due to the COVID-19 pandemic, teaching at a local high school. “I really enjoyed it,” she remarked, “but then I saw this opportunity with the business council pop up and I thought it would just be a great way to help my community grow.”

As the Regional Director, Valentine will oversee Sweetwater, Lincoln, and Uinta counties. “I basically work as a liaison between the communities and setting them up with resources available to them, as well as connecting them with people,” she explained. Connection and collaboration are at the heart of her mission, aimed at strengthening community ties across the region.
In her new role, Valentine is already diving into specific projects within Southwest Wyoming. “I was actually just in Uinta County last week,” she shared. “They have a lot going on with gaming institutions… trying to leverage some I-80 traffic and folks that come up from Utah into Evanston for gaming opportunities.” These initiatives are just a glimpse into the vibrant potential she sees for local businesses.
When discussing the resources the Wyoming Business Council offers, Valentine emphasized their commitment to supporting established businesses. “We can help with any expansion. If you need financing for loans for an expansion, we can help with that,” she highlighted. Additional support includes leadership training and connecting businesses with local leaders to ensure their voices are heard when decisions are made.
Valentine invites business owners to reach out for assistance. “If you go to our website, you can click on your region and it’ll connect you with the regional director in your area. I’m happy to chat and hear about any issues that your business is facing,” she said enthusiastically.
Wrapping up their conversation, Valentine expressed her vision for community engagement. “We just want to make self-sustaining communities that are engaged and resilient. I would just encourage folks to share their opinions on what’s happening in your community.” She emphasized her commitment to fostering a “team of thousands” to elevate every resident’s voice in shaping the future of the region.
With a clear vision and dedication, Chloe Valentine is poised to make a significant impact on Southwest Wyoming’s business landscape. As she embarks on this new journey, she remains excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for the communities she serves.
