Cowboys Host South Dakota on Tuesday Evening

Contest set for 6:30 p.m. start

The Wyoming Cowboys welcome the South Dakota Coyotes to the Arena-Auditorium on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. It is the final home contest in the non-conference slate for the Pokes, as UW is 7-0 this season in Laramie.

Fans can watch, listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The game will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network with Keith Kelley on the call and Kevin McKinney on Color.

Wyoming enters the contest with a 7-2 overall record after earning a comeback win over Dartmouth by a score of 93-80 on Saturday. Wyoming is scoring 86 points per game to rank first in the MW this season. The Cowboys are shooting 47.8 percent from the field with opponents shooting 41.2 percent. Wyoming adds 35.2 percent from behind the arc and holds opponents to 26.6 percent to rank second in the MW and No. 15 in the nation. Wyoming grabs 41.6 rebounds per game to leads the conference and rank No. 36 in the nation.

The Coyotes are 5-5 on the season after falling in overtime to Northern Colorado on the road by a score of 89-87 on Saturday. South Dakota averages 83.6 points per game and gives up 80.2 per night. Wyoming is led in scoring by Leland Walker at 14.9 points per game. He also adds 4.2 rebounds per game and four assists per night. Khaden Bennett adds 10.9 points per contest and leads the team with 5.2 rebounds per game. He also leads the team with 17 steals and had five on Saturday. Nasir (Naz) Meyer adds 10.8 points per game and 4.3 rebounds per night.

South Dakota is led in scoring by Isaac Bruns at 19.5 points per game. He also ranks second on the team with 4.7 rebounds per game. Jordan Crawford adds 12.1 points per game and leads the team with 14 three pointers. Cameron Fens adds 10.7 points per night and leads the team with six rebounds per game. Uzziah Buntyn adds 10.1 points per game and leads the team with 3.1 assists per contest.

About The Series

The Cowboys lead the all-time series 8-3 against South Dakota in a series that dates back to 1960. Tuesday will mark the first meeting in Laramie since 2013. South Dakota took the meeting last season at home by a score of 82-81.
