This year’s Rock Church Summer Theater will continue the tradition of producing locally-written performances, with auditions being held on April 18 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Charity Williams and the Star Valley Historical Society invite those who are eight years old and up to come to the Historic Rock Church in Auburn during the allotted audition time, prepared to read lines and have a song to sing. The church is located at the intersection of Main Street. and First West St., Auburn, WY 83111.
“Come make friends, have fun and be part of adding to Star Valley history,” shares Williams.
Beginning April 29, rehearsals will be held each Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The performances will be Fridays and Saturdays from June 19-July 18 (excluding July 3 and 4).
2026 marks the 33rd year of performances, with last year’s production featuring a comedy about what happens when the first automobile entered Star Valley. This year’s production will be announced at a later date.
About the Historic Rock Church
Performances take place at the Historic Rock Church in Auburn, Wyoming — a small stone chapel that offers an intimate theater experience. With the audience never far from the stage, each performance feels close and immersive. Built in 1889 by early settlers using hand-quarried local sandstone, the Rock Church has long served as a gathering place for worship, community events and storytelling, making it a fitting home for live theater rooted in history.
Those unable to audition during the timeframe set aside or for those with questions, contact Charity Williams at charity.dbs@gmail.com.
