The Star Valley Arts Council’s annual Children’s Summer Theater Camp presents “The Rockin’ Tale of Snow White” Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, June 17-19 at 6 p.m. on the historic Ford Theatre stage in downtown Afton. With seventy community children participating in the show, folks are sure to find a youth from their neighborhood in this musical adaptation of the beloved Snow White fairytale.
“This theatre camp has gone quickly,” said Director Tina Crowther. “We love to offer this opportunity because there are so many benefits for kids who participate in the creative and performing arts! They build friendships, increase confidence in their own abilities, and learn to work together toward goals.”
With Crowther, co-directors Katie Thygerson, Katherine Harris and Jessica Rasmussen have worked with the cast and crew of 70 children Monday through Saturday for three weeks to prepare the show. “The cast and crew this year are amazing! They have worked hard and supported each other to put together a great show,” said Crowther.
“The Rockin’ Tale of Snow White’ is an upbeat musical adaptation of the Snow White story,” said Crowther. “We love to have community members there to support the kids!”
