The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus will be in Star Valley for a stop at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds in Afton on June 24.

Cory Frome, spokesman for Rotary Club of Star Valley, is helping with ticket sales.

He explained the circus includes  bringing a series of entertaining acts for families.

“This will be at the Lincoln County fairgrounds and this is a cool circus for those who haven’t been. You see the animals, and the clown, and the whole thing.” Frome said. “I’m always amazed. This will be the fourth year.”

“The first showing is at 5 p.m., the other showing is at 7:30 p.m. and then that morning they actually do a tent raising if kids want to come and watch them pull up the tent. The tent is huge That’s at 9 30 a.m. But yeah, it’s just a great event.

“It happens every two years. It’s great for the community and proceeds that we make from it Just go back to the community and we also like where it happens during the middle of the week where we’re not competing with any other local events So it’s great. It’s great for kids. It’s great for adults.”

Tickets are available at Broulim’s in Alpine, Thayne and Afton. Discounts are available if tickets are purchased in advance.

Proceeds are shared with the Rotary Club of Star Valley.
