“I’m really proud of the entire team,” said head coach Maurie Erickson. “Most of the girls were competing at their first Nationals.”
When speaking of Christiansen and Herd, her two graduating seniors, Coach Erickson noted how difficult it was to see them compete for Star Gymnastics because of how much they have grown and how the impact they have made on the team. “Addi has always demonstrated such a hard work ethic. Whenever she was in the gym, she was a great example of hard work. And Saylor has shown an incredible amount of perseverance. She has had to prove to herself everyday that she is capable. It’s inspiring how she has overcome so many obstacles.”
