Here’s a look at what is happening this weekend in the area and how you can follow your favorite team.
Kemmerer High School
• Football – After dropping a tough 31-7 decision on the road in Big Piney, the Rangers (3-1)(0-1) are back at home this week hosting the Greybull Buffaloes who were upset by Pinedale last week. After being ranked #4 last week, the loss dropped the Rangers out of the latest WyoPreps.com Football Poll. • Volleyball – The Lady Rangers (3-10) will have two full days of action this weekend at the Thermopolis Invitational. Click here for the latest rankings from the WyoPreps.com Coaches & Media Volleyball Poll.
• Girls Swimming – The Lady Rangers have a pair of events this weekend. First will be at Big Piney on Thursday evening before heading back up to Sublette County for the Pinedale Invitational at the impressive Pinedale Aquatic Center.
Cokeville High School
• Football – The Panthers are ranked #3 in the latest WyoPreps.com Coaches & Media Poll and picked up a blowout win for Homecoming with a 57-6 score over Shoshoni. They are back in action Thursday evening with a game against the Green River JV. Kick-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. Listen to the game online on KVSI at SVInews.com. • Volleyball – The top-ranked Lady Panthers (15-8) will be on the road for a pair of matches this weekend. First they will be in Big Piney Thursday evening and then will be in Randolph, Utah on Saturday for a rivalry tilt against Rich County. Click here for the WyoPreps Volleyball Poll.
Bear Lake High School
• Football – The Bears (1-4) have a short trip this week as they head over to Soda Springs to take on the Cardinals. Kick-off for the game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Listen to the game on KVSI at SVInews.com.
• Volleyball – The volleyball team has a full slate of events this weekend as they travel to Aberdeen on Thursday evening before traveling to the Beehive State to compete in the Ogden Tournament on Friday & Saturday.
• Cross-Country – The long-distance runners will be at the Rex Campbell event in Shelley Idaho.
Pinedale High School
• Football – The #5 Wranglers (2-2)(1-0) will be looking to put the distractions of the Roosevelt Fire behind them as they host the #2 Mountain View Buffaloes with a 6:30 p.m. kick-off. • Volleyball – The Lady Wranglers (10-5) will be looking to solidify their standing as one of the better 3A teams as they face off against a tough field at the Thermopolis Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Click here for the WyoPreps.com Volleyball Poll.
• Girls Swimming – The Lady Wranglers will duel against the Kemmerer Lady Rangers at Big Piney on Thursday evening before hosting several teams at the Pinedale Aquatic Center.
Star Valley High School
• Football – The #4 Braves (3-2) will have their longest road trip of the season as they travel to Powell (1-3) to take on the Panthers. • Volleyball – The #2 Lady Braves are back in action Friday evening after a ten day break on the schedule as they take on the Lady Broncs at Jackson Hole High School. Varsity action begins at 6 p.m. Star Valley will be at home on Saturday afternoon with a 2 p.m. varsity time against the Green River Wolves. • Cross-Country – Star Valley will have two different varsity teams competing this week. One will head to the Pacific Northwest for the NikeCross event in Portland Oregon. The other will be at the Rex Campbell Invite at Shelley High School.
