***Updated*** According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the slide has been cleared and traffic has resumed as normal. More updates from the incident will be posted when they become available.

– Original Story – According to Lincoln County Dispatch, a rock slide at mile post 98 just north of the Thayne rest area has caused traffic delays. Initial reports are that the slide made contact with cars and pushed on motorist off the road. The Wyoming Highway Patrol, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, WYDOT and the Thayne Police Department are on scene. Officals are asking drivers to use caution and patience as they work through the scene. Again a rock slide on U.S. 89 just North of the Thayne Rest Area causing delays.
