The Star Valley Arts Council will be hosting the Star Valley Halloween Extravaganza! event on Monday October 25th from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds.
Director of the organization, Tim Hale, says they will be teaming with the 4-H club and all proceeds will be split between the two groups.
“We had around 700 people and that was our first year,” Hale said about last year’s Pumpkin Walk event. “Not only are we going to do the Pumpkin Walk, but we’re going to have several different attractions.”
To participate in the Pumpkin Walk all you have to do is pre-carve yours and bring it to the event at 5 PM.
“The whole community can carve a pumpkin or multiple pumpkins,” Hale said. “This can be a family activity the night before, you can do a church group activity, just carve a bunch of pumpkins.”
From there the Council will string Christmas lights through the jack-o-lanterns
The event will include the Spooky Woods which will be for toddlers up to around 10 years of age. Hale says there will be little candies in this attraction.
He also says there will be the Zombie Zone.
“We’re legitimately trying to scare people with that,” Hale said. “So, we’re going to have people dressing up as zombies.”
He says the Council is looking for people to volunteer to help out with this attraction. This also includes help for the The Shack (The World’s Smallest Haunted House).
The 4-H club will also be having carnival games and such in its area. The entrance fee to the event is $10 per person or $30 per family. You can purchase at the door or buy online in advance here.
