• This year’s beneficiary of the proceeds is the Thayne Food Pantry.
Star Valley’s sixth Annual Spring Craft Show is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, March 15-16 at the Thayne Community Center. Doors are open from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Traditionally, organizers of this event select a charitable organization or individual to receive the proceeds as a gift.
“Admission is free, but raffle tickets are a dollar,” said Jackie Burgess, event organizer, in an interview with SVI Media last week. “The raffle items are donations that we’ve collected from vendors and businesses from throughout the valley. Our big ticket raffle item is actually a date night package with Cole Swindell concert tickets for two, a night stay in a hotel, and $100 cash for dinner or gas or whatever. Last year we raffled a gun, but we have the date night packet as our big-ticket item this year.”
Cole Swindell will be live in concert at The Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls on Friday, July 19, 2024. Couple that with a stay in a classy hotel, and you have a magical evening paid for. Each raffle item has a number assigned to it and a jar placed in front of it, so guests who want a specific item can place their raffle ticket in the jar. You can purchase as many raffle tickets as you like and place as many in a jar as you choose.
“We’ll have Wyo’Pa Hoagies doing dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday,” added Burgess. “The Local Grind will be doing breakfast Saturday morning. We have a good variety of vendors. Food donations are always welcome as well. All the money will go to Thayne’s Food Bank. If people bring a food or cash donation, that will also go directly to the Food Bank. There will be a cash donation jar for monetary donations as well as a place for food donations.”
Organizers will announce the winner of the Cole Swindell date night as soon as the craft fair is concluded. All other items will be drawn out in a Facebook Live within a few days after the event. More details and the Facebook Live link will be available at the event.
“Get out, come enjoy some yummy food, check out all the awesome vendors, and help our friends who need food support,” said Burgess. “There will be lots to see. I’ve got tons and tons of donations still coming in. I’m sure there will be something for everybody. We will all have live music from 307 Mobile Music again this year. Bring your friends and family and come and shop and eat and listen to some music and just have fun.”
