(Watch) SVHS Marching Braves earn Excellent rating at State Marching Band

Star Valley High School’s Marching Braves earned an “Excellent” rating during the 2024 Wyoming State Marching Band competition held at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper on Saturday, October 19. A total of 21 high school marching bands from around the state participated. Each band was awarded a rating, with Superior being the highest rating possible followed by Excellent.

Below is the Marching Braves’ full performance. You can find more details in the upcoming October 23 edition of the Star Valley Independent.

Following the performances from all the high schools, the Western Thunder Marching Band from the University of Wyoming performed for the crowd. Below is a portion of their performance of Toby Keith’s “Should’ve Been a Cowboy.” Star Valley High School graduate Caitlin Anderson, pictured below, plays clarinet with the Western Thunder.
