The Star Valley Wyoming Temple from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints became the first such structure in the state of Wyoming in 2016. Since then the Casper Wyoming Temple has just been completed and has an open house scheduled to begin later this month. The Cody Wyoming Temple is currently awaiting the beginning of constructions as court proceedings are taking place.

After being struck by lightning, which caused a blackening of part of the Angel Moroni statue atop the Star Valley temple, crews replaced the statue on Tuesday, August 6, 2o24.
