Thayne Elementary has been finding ways to give back this month, including helping animals at the Animal Humane Society of Star Valley (Lucky’s Place). In a letter to parents of Thayne Elementary students it says to, “bring in cans of wet food or bags of unopened dry food for either cats or dogs.” Donations will later be delivered to Lucky’s Place in Thayne.

Organizer Heather Reckling with Thayne Elementary shares, “[Lucky’s Place] runs completely on donations. During the holidays so many people help humans and I thought, animals need a merry Christmas, too!”

Reckling has also had animals from Lucky’s Place and says, “Lucky’s Place does so much for everyone. They help families find these great pets. They have helped my family with this.”

Those who have a child in Thayne Elementary are encouraged to look for ways to give back and sending a child to school this month with a can of food and placing it in the box outside of Mrs. Heather Reckling’s classroom (204). You can also reach out to Lucky’s Place and donate needed items or monetary donations. Many animals are also in need of loving homes. Check out Animal Humane Association of Star Valley on Facebook, luckysplace_ahasv on Instagram, visit www.luckys.place, stop by during shelter hours, or call and schedule a visit at (307)883-PETS.
