Braves in second place after Day 1 of State Wrestling

After Day 1 of the Wyoming State Wrestling Tournament the Star Valley Braves are in second place in the 4A Classification with 168.0 team points. The Sheridan Broncs are in the lead with 231.0 and Thunder Basin is third with 161.5. 

Eight Braves advanced to the semifinals with Levi Byrd (106), Tel Parry (126), Joseph Naef (145) and Grant Weiss (170) advanced to the Finals. 

Bridger Smith (120), Cameron Kendall (138), Porter Merritt (152) and Kooper Burk (160) have cemented a spot on the podium and will compete on Saturday to place anywhere from third to sixth. 

Other Star Valley wrestlers who are still alive in the tournament include Caleb Morrison (120), Malachi Patterson (126), Paxton Wolfley (132), Jayden Kunz (170), Grant Thomson (182), Joseph Warren (195) and Weslee Turner (285).
