Cowboys Host Air Force on Senior Day Tuesday

• Five Seniors Honored Prior to Game

The Wyoming Cowboys will host the Air Force Falcons in the final regular season home game of the season on Tuesday in a 6:30 p.m. start in the Arena-Auditorium. Wyoming will honor its five seniors prior to the contest in Kenny Foster, Sam Griffin, Akuel Kot, Mason Walters and Brendan Wenzel. The first 1,000 fans will receive a limited-edition Cowboy Basketball Bobblehead.

The contest will be streamed on the Mountain West Network. Fans can watch, listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com.. The game will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Keith Kelly will be on the call alongside Kevin McKinney.

About The Teams

Wyoming heads into the contest with a 13-16 overall record and a 6-10 mark in conference play after falling at Colorado State by a score of 70-62 on Saturday. Wyoming is shooting 44.7 percent from the field and allowing opponents to shoot 45.8 percent. UW is shooting 36.5 percent from behind the arc on the season to lead the conference. Wyoming is making 16.2 free throws per game for the season to rank second in the conference.

Air Force is 9-19 on the season and 2-14 in the Mountain West after falling to Utah State on the road by a score of 72-60 on Friday. Air Force is an excellent shooting team from behind the arc this season shooting at a 36.2 percent clip. The Falcons are shooting 45.6 percent from the field with opponents shooting 47 percent.

About The Players

Wyoming is led in scoring this season by Sam Griffin at 17 points per game for fifth in the MW. He has scored 20 or more points in 11 games this season. He also leads the team adding 3.4 assists per game. Akuel Kot adds 13.4 points per game. He has recorded 53 three-pointers on the season for second on the team behind 67 from Griffin. Mason Walters adds 12.8 points per game and Brendan Wenzel adds 11.2 per night. Cam Manyawu adds 6.7 rebounds per game to lead the Pokes this season and rank eighth in the conference.

The Falcons are led in scoring this season by Rytis Petraitis at 15.1 points per game. He also leads the team grabbing 6.0 rebounds per night. He is shooting 46.6 percent from the field. Ethan Taylor adds 14.4 points per game and leads the team with 81 three pointers made. Beau Becker ads 14.4 points per night and is shooting 49.5 percent from the field.

About The Series

The Cowboys are 83-43 all-time against the Falcons in a series that dates back to 1958. Wyoming is 42-17 all-time against the Falcons in Laramie. UW took the first meeting by a score of 83-72 in Colorado Springs on Jan. 30.
