McKinley Bradshaw, Allyson Fertig and Quinn Weidemann all took home All-Mountain West honors Sunday, announced by the league office. Bradshaw was named to the All-Mountain West Team while Fertig earned the league’s Freshman of the Year and was named to the Mountain West All-Freshman Team. Weidemann, meanwhile, was named to the All-Defensive Team for the second consecutive year.

Bradshaw finished fourth in the league this season in conference-only games in scoring at 16.9 points per game. In 16 Mountain West games this year, Bradshaw has 13 games where she’s scored in double figures, three games where she scored 20-plus points and has a pair of 30-plus point outbursts. Bradshaw’s near-41-percent field goal percentage ranked seventh in the league while her 76.4-percent free-throw percentage was 10th-best.

Bradshaw shot 38-percent from 3-point range in conference play this season while her 1.72 made 3-pointers per game ranked 14th. Bradshaw ranked third on the team in rebounding this season with 5.4 rebounds per contest and averaged 1.4 assists per game.

Fertig, who became the first Mountain West Freshman of the Year in program history, averaged 10.1 points and a team-best 9.5 rebounds per game in league play in 2021-22. Fertig ranked third in the MW in rebounds per game this season while her 3.9 offensive boards per was second-best. Fertig, who was named Freshman of the Week five times this season, recorded six double-doubles during the conference season and tied a Mountain West Freshman record with 18 rebounds in the win at New Mexico February 5. Fertig shot 49-percent from the floor this season and had a career-high 24 points in the January 29 win over Nevada.

Weidemann, who was also named to the All-Defensive Team last season, spearheaded the league’s second-best scoring defense this season. The Cowgirls allowed just over 60 points per game during league play in 2021-22. Weidemann was second on the team with 14 steals in Mountain West play this season. Weidemann held five of the league’s top-12 scorers below their season-scoring averages in their matchups against UW this season. Weidemann held those opponents to nearly three points per game below their season-scoring marks.

Weidemann shot nearly 39-percent from 3-point range in conference games this season and averaged 10.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in Mountain West play. Weidemann’s 1.88 made 3-pointers per game this season ranked eighth-best in the conference.

The three all-conference honors are the most for UW since the 2018-19 season. The trio and the rest of the Cowgirls begin defense of their Mountain West Tournament title Monday night at 9:30 p.m., Mountain Time in the quarterfinals of the league tournament, as they face Colorado State.
