Help local families and have fun doing it: Toys for Tots Bowling Fundraiser this Saturday

• New toys, and monetary donations accepted.

A 9-pin no-tap bowling event will distribute all toy and monetary donations to local families who need a little extra help this holiday season. Organizer Amy Hansen says that she will be working with the Angel Tree program and other local organizations to find families who may need a little help this year to bring the holiday magic into their home.

Those who have experienced the struggle of the cost of living can attest the struggle in different areas. Hansen says, “If we have enough, I would like to help two families…including Christmas dinner…I really feel that we need to give back when we can.”

Hansen highlighted the appreciation she holds for the Star Valley community, emphasizing their collective spirit of giving saying, “It’s an amazing community that we live in.”

Those inclined to contribute by wrapping the toys themselves are kindly urged by Hansen to label the presents with the appropriate age(s) and gender(s) for optimal gift matching.

For anyone interested in participating in the bowling event are asked to bring $25 for each bowler and check in at 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 2.

The event will also include raffles, prizes, and 50/50 tickets, so bring a little extra to help do your part in helping those who may need a little extra cheer this year.
