Jackson Police Department involved in standoff

The Jackson Police Department are requesting the public remain clear of the Deloney Avenue area in the Town Creek apartment complex as they deal with a stand off situation.
According to information posted on the Town of Jackson Facebook page, “on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, just before midnight, Jackson Police Officers responded to 355 Deloney Avenue, the Town Creek apartment complex, regarding a possible stabbing. The victim was transported to St. John’s Health after which time he was transferred to Eastern Idaho Medical Center in Idaho Falls. No further information on the victim’s condition is known at this time.”
“Jackson Police along with Teton County Sheriff Officers have identified a 38-year-old resident of Jackson as the suspect of the stabbing. After being approached by police, the suspect retreated into his apartment where he is currently located.”
“Currently there are no additional suspects and Police are asking the public to remain clear of the Town Creek apartment complex at this time.”
“The situation is on-going and further updates will provided once additional information is obtained.”
