Local 4H program is launching its 2019-2020 season

◆ Youth program seeking leaders and members.

Lincoln County 4-H is launching the 2019-2020 Season and is looking for new leadership and new membership.

“I am excited for a new year,” said Shar Perry, Lincoln County 4-H Youth Educator. “I encourage all youth interested in joining 4-H to get enrolled right away.  Some clubs have started meeting already.  The 4-H program is about more than just animals. We have shooting sports, cooking, sewing, woodworking, and much more.”

Special trainings will begin in January on a new record book system. The new online program helps members to track their spending and involvement in 4-H more easily throughout the year.
Perry is encouraging adults to enroll as 4H Leaders.

“We are looking for leaders that want to share their expertise with the youth of our county. Leader training and a background screening are required for this opportunity.”

Teens who are ages 13-18 by January 1, 2020 are encouraged to enroll in the Jr. Leader program, which is a leadership group that provides opportunities such as travel throughout Wyoming for participation in service activities and educational programming.

Youth who are ages 5-7 on January 1, 2020 are welcome to enroll in the Cloverbud program.

“We are currently looking for a volunteer that would like to be a co-leader with this group,” added Perry.  “If you are interested in this, please contact me at the Extension Office.”

Youth and leaders can enroll for the 2019-2020 year at wy.4honline.com.
