The SVI Broadcast Network will be all over western Wyoming this weekend once again bringing you coverage of various schools. Here’s a look at what is going on in those schools this weekend.
• Kemmerer Rangers
Football: After snapping a five-year conference game losing streak in their 28-6 win over Lyman, the Rangers will be in Pinedale to try and wreck the Wrangler Homecoming with a 7 p.m. kickoff. Volleyball: The Lady Rangers will host Wind River in Lincoln County on Friday night with a 7 p.m. start time. The volleyball team will then host Shoshoni on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Girls Swimming: The Rangers will have a pair of events in Sweetwater County as they compete in Rock Springs on Friday night and in Green River on Saturday.
Golf: The Rangers will wrap up their season at the 2A Wyoming State Tournament in Newcastle this Friday and Saturday.
• Pinedale Wranglers
Football: It’s Homecoming for the Wranglers (1-1) as they host the Kemmerer Rangers (2-0) in Sublette County. Join the SVI-2 crew for video coverage here at svinews.com.
Volleyball: The Lady Wranglers host the Lyman Eagles in a key Southwest District clash Thursday evening at PHS.
Golf: The golf teams will be at the 3A Wyoming State Tournament in Riverton this Friday and Saturday.
• Cokeville Panthers
Football: The Panthers will be looking to stay undefeated as they travel to Lyman for the first time since 1996. This game kicks off at 4 p.m. and video will be available from SVI-3. Listen to play-by-play radio coverage online at svinews.com/radio.
Volleyball: The top-ranked Lady Panthers will be at Little Snake River for a 5 p.m. start time on Friday evening before a clash of #1 vs #2 on Saturday morning when they face off against Saratoga at 11 a.m. Another match with Encampment is scheduled for 2 p.m.
• Bear Lake Bears
Football: The Bears (1-2) will try and reverse a two-game skid as they host Aberdeen on Friday night with a 7 p.m. kickoff. Listen to the game from KVSI at svinews.com/radio.
Volleyball: The spikers in blue will be hosting Malad Thursday evening with a 7 p.m. start time.
Cross-Country: The distance runners will be at the Pirate Challenge held at West Side High School on Thursday evening.
• Star Valley Braves
Football: In their first Wyoming action of the season, the Braves will travel to Fremont County to face off against the Riverton Wolverines on Friday night. Volleyball: The Lady Braves (14-4) are ranked #3 in the latest WyoPreps.com Coaches & Media Poll and will take on undefeated Cody (12-0) on the Fillies’ court. The match is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. on Friday evening. Star Valley will then travel to Riverton to face the Wolverines on Saturday with a 1 p.m. start time.
Golf: The 3A golf season comes to a close this weekend as the SVHS teams will be in Riverton for the 3A state tournament this Friday and Saturday. The Braves and Lady Braves will be chasing the Lander Valley Tigers who claimed a double team championship last season and are favorites to repeat.
