Utah Jazz sign former BYU forward Kyle Collinsworth

The Utah Jazz officially announced the signing of former BYU forward Kyle Collinsworth on Saturday.

The signing comes after the Salt Lake Stars acquired the rights to the Provo, Utah native in a trade with the Toronto Raptors’ G-League affiliate.

Collinsworth spent last season with the Toronto Raptors 905 of the G-League. He averaged 10.5 points on 44.9 percent from the field, 7.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.8 steals in 31.1 minutes per contest. He played in 28 games and started each of them.

Collinsworth career has included stints with the Dallas Mavericks and the team’s G-League affiliate, Texas Legends.

He played four seasons with BYU. He played in the 2010-2011 season and from 2013-2016. His senior year for the Cougars he averaged 15.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 2.0 steals. It earned him the West Coast Conference Player of the Year award.

The Jazz host the Sacramento Kings Monday with tip-off at 7 P.M.
