What was once a Southwest District rivalry is now a non-conference, inter-class match up prior to league play as the Lyman High School basketball teams make their way to Afton for a Friday night tip-off against Star Valley.

Join the Aspen Physical Therapy Countdown to Tip-off just after 5 p.m. this evening.

Up first in the girls varsity game, the Lady Eagles (5-7) have attracted the attention of the voters in the latest WyoPreps.com Coaches and Media Poll, ranking #5 in the 3A Class.

They will face the Lady Braves (6-3) who have not played in nearly two weeks since a hard-fought loss to Idaho 2A #1 Soda Springs on January 4. The Lady Braves are currently unranked in the 4A Class.

The two girls teams met on January 3 in Lyman where Star Valley prevailed in a low-scoring battle, 39-33.

The boys game will feature the Lyman Eagles (6-5) as they attempt to knock off the Star Valley junior varsity squad (6-3). The two groups met on January 3 in Lyman as well with the SVHS underclassmen pulling away late for a 64-57 victory.

Again, join the Aspen Physical Therapy Countdown to Tip-off prior to the start of the game for insights and updates in Wyoming high school sports.
