Yellowstone National Park increases fire risk to “Moderate”

Officials with Yellowstone National Park have increased the fire danger within the park from “Low” to “Moderate”.
Warmer temperatures consistently in the 80’s have dried out what was a wet June.
“There are no fire restrictions currently in place in the park,” stated information from the National Park Service. “Campfires are only permitted within fire rings in our campgrounds and some backcountry campsites. All campfires must be cold to the touch before leaving. Soak, stir, feel, repeat. Fireworks are not allowed in the park or on other federal lands.
