• Six performers delighted the audience
Tucker Jensen took home $300 in cash as the winner of the second annual Star Valley Kids Got Talent event held Saturday, March 1 at the historic Ford Theatre in Afton. Six contestants performed their pieces for comment from a panel of three judges and earned winning votes from the attending crowd.
“All six of the contestants gave incredible performances,” said Salt River Arts representative Jaclyn Lechner. “All of them did a great job and had fun sharing their talents with our community.”
Jensen took home first place honors, earning the $300 cash prize with a ventriloquism act featuring his sidekick, Josh. Hannah King, who took second place, walked away with $100 with her “beautiful” vocal rendition of “Into The Unknown” from the Disney film “Frozen II.” Third place winner, Aly Richards, sang “Brother,” which was inspired by her own brothers.
“Star Valley Kids Got Talent is such a fun event, and a great opportunity for these 6th, 7th and 8th graders to prepare, practice and perform their talents on stage for an audience,” said Lechner. “We very much look forward to next year’s event!”
