The State Indoor Track season came to an end in Gillette and the Star Valley athletes brought home some hardware as the Braves finished third in the team standings. Sheridan won with a team total of 118 and Cheyenne Central was second with 73.5. Star Valley finished with 64.

The boys total was led by the distance posse as Jase Burton won both the 3200 and 1600 meter events, setting new state records in both. Burton combined with Habi Wetzel and Sullivan Wilson to go 1-2-3 in the 1600 meter. Wetzel was also second in the 3200. Burton and Wetzel worked with Matt Heywood and Brigham Hahn for a top-three finish in the 4 x 800 relay as well.

Laramie won the 4A Girls title with 118 points. Thunder Basin placed second with 104.5. Star Valley finished with 13 points in the team standings. The Lady Braves’ top scorer was junior Abigail Carrillo-Zarate who was third in the Shot Put.
