The Star Valley Arts Council (SVAC) is hosting its second annual Classical Night of Music on Saturday, April 18 on the Ford Theatre stage at 7 p.m. Local music artists will gather to share music and dance favorites in a concert that offers exclusively classical music and dance discipline performances.

“Classical music has a way of bringing people together in a really meaningful way, and what makes this evening especially unique is that it’s all local talent,” said Lxi Weber, who serves as Executive Director of the SVAC. “These are our friends, neighbors, and community members sharing something beautiful they’ve worked hard to create.”

The concert features works by Vivaldi, Bach, Brahms, Dvorak, Verdi and Morley among others. Jaclyn Lechner and Jessica Rasmussen, who have spent many years on the stage, will serve as Masters of Ceremonies, connecting the audience with performers and affording increased brilliance to the evening’s lineup.

Last year’s program was extremely well received by the community and featured some of Star Valley’s most accomplished classical dancers and musicians. This year’s lineup includes an entirely different group of artists.

“If you’ve ever thought you needed to travel to experience a great night of classical music, this concert will prove otherwise,” said Weber. “It’s a special night you won’t want to miss.”

Tickets can be purchased in advance at saltriverarts.com or are available at the door.
