Spring Has Sprung Craft Fair happens Saturday

Star Valley’s annual Spring Has Sprung Craft Fair is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds South Exhibit Building in Afton. Doors will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with goods and food offered throughout the day.

“This is a youth fundraiser,” said organizer Tanya DeJournett, explaining that some vendor spaces have been reserved for youth organizations who are working to raise funds for various needs and expenses. The $1 donation at the door will help support local folks who need a little extra support.

“Last year, the money we raised went to help the youth whose animals didn’t make weight at the fair and they weren’t able to sell their animals,” said DeJournett. This year, “the boys soccer club is helping to set up and collect fees at the door.”

Folks can expect booths sponsored by The Wall that Heals and the Veterans of Foreign Wars as well as food for purchase available from Natasha Rainey. Vendors will offer handmade craft items, food preserves, direct sales products and more.

The community is invited to begin their Mother’s Day and spring shopping supporting local vendors and local youth by attending the fair and enjoying a day out to kick off the spring season.
